ER Trips, and Chemo, and hospital stays, Oh MY!

Last night Logan got a fever so they told us to take him to the ER for some labs and antibiotics.  Logan was not excited about this as it meant we had to miss our neighborhood "walk about" (we walk about and eat treats at people's houses and chat while the kids run amuck through the neighborhood...so fun) and it meant we had to access his port unexpectedly and that just stinks.  So, we went in and did all that stuff and his ANC was 800.  They like it to be above 1000 but only admit if it's below 500.  We went home and had a great day.  The fever came down, great nights sleep,  clinic today went great, ate some yummy pizza with the grandparents, and then...fever 0f 101.7 and another trip to the ER and having to be admitted because his ANC was 400 and with a fever, that is no bueno.  Logan tried really hard to explain his feelings and what he came up with is that he is so overwhelmed and worn out.  This was a hard ER trip but Dan just text and said they are doing much better.  Hopefully a good nights sleep will do us all well.  So, he is in until his counts come back up, which I have no idea if that is a day or 3 days or what.  But, we are incredibly grateful that Dan's parents were here for both ER trips.  They are coming on Sunday nights and staying through Monday to keep things going smoothly on chemo days.  We feel very lucky that these things happened on the 2 days they were here....coincidence...I don't think so friends.  It is not a coincidence and it is not fate and it is not good luck and we are grateful that we know someone has our needs in mind and that He will give us little mercies all along the way.  We expect those little mercies to continue and they will make this okay.

In the mean time, Dan's parents are pretty much weaning my baby at night (which is fantastic because weaning babies is the saddest part of being a mom as far as I'm concerned)  and cleaning my house and hanging with my kids and it is just such a relief to have them here.  I'm grateful that we have had some pretty chill days prior to this and hope for many more chill days in the near future.  If his counts go back up by Monday they will do the crappy, pukey chemo and if not, they will wait until they do.  We are just hoping they are up so we can get this show on the road.  We are good. People are awesome.  I'm going to bed.

Usually he is screaming when she touches him, but for about a 30 minute period, they just sat like this.  It was adorable.
Tonight just before the ER trip we were able to take Jolie out on her late birthday dinner.  She dressed up in her fancy gear, including fur crown, of course, and just delighted us for 2 hours straight.  She is the cutest, sweetest thing you will ever meet when she has your full attention.  It was very fun.  And, lucky for us, we talked her out of McDonalds and into Spitz, which was so delicious and she even liked it.  We ended with an ice cream cone from McD's. Wins all around.
Cute boy and Perler beads.  That was taken today when he was feeling totally fine.

Lots of curtsies and twirls were seen by all at the restaurant

You steal my phone and take 20 selfies...they go on Facebook ;)
