Sneeze Acting

Well, we think we found a way for Dan to just stop the whole job search and stay home with us every day. We think our son is beginning a lucrative career in sneeze acting. If any of you know of any agencies looking for this talent, just let us know. We had our friends over for dinner (actually they brought dinner to us, thanks so much guys) and Mason kept sneezing because he is sick. Well, his sneezes always made us smile, so he decided he would start faking them. He wouldn't stop for so long, and as you can see, we laughed our guts out. Some of them sounded exactly like real sneezes. Here is a little clip we got. What a funny little boy.

Job Hunting and Rolling....that's what we do around here

I will just do a little update on the goings-on at the Murphy household these days. We are, of course, still hunting for the perfect job.....or a good job....well, just a job really. Dan has had some interviews, but judging from most people we know in our position, apparently there is a rule that you have to interview for 25 jobs before you actually get one. I think that is just standard "patience 101" that you must complete as your exit exam from college. We are trying to be patient and just enjoy life right now. Mason is enjoying life more than ever because he has discovered that he can cover an entire room in seconds by just rolling. I always put Mason to sleep at night, but last night I could not keep my eyes open and he just wouldn't fall asleep, so Dan said he would hang out with him until he got sleepy enough and then he would wake me to feed Mason and put him down. Well, about 3 am I woke up suddenly frantic that something had happened because Mason never goes to ...

Rules1: Each player starts with 8 random habits/facts about themselves.2: People who are tagged need to write a post on their blog about their eight things and post these rules.3: At the end of the post you need to choose 8 people to get tagged and list their names. 1. I am very opinionated. If there is something that I don’t have an opinion about, I search it out and form one. I just can’t handle saying, “I don’t know.” I am willing to let people persuade me and debate it out until I form that opinion, but at that point it takes a lot to change my mind. 2. I get very frustrated with the medical community and that they have a drug to take care of everything and everything is a disorder. I think 90% of things can be taken care of without all the drugs and stuff. Although, for that 10%, I am so grateful they are around. (PS-why don’t doctors have to take a single nutrition class? That will forever blow my mind.) 3. I hate losing touch with people. Every time I think of someone ...

Wonderful 4th of July Weekend!

Image
Well, I am a little late, but it is only because we were busy and had a wonderful 4th weekend. We went to Poky and loved being with my whole family. How many people these days get to be with all 6 of their siblings and spouses so regularly. Natalie came from Washington and we always love having her around. We got some softball in and a whole lot of chattin. We even had a low country boil which consists of cooking a bunch of shrimp, potatos, corn and sausage in a giant pot of spicy seasoning and throwing it on a table to eat with your hands. It was so fun!! Thanks Doug and Marie! Mason saw his first fireworks and hated every second of it. We love going to Poky to visit and are so glad that my family is so close to us. We just need to work on getting Dan's family closer. Now we are just back to the normal stuff...work and play. My camera didn't have batteries for the 4th so I have to get some from other people. So I will just post pics of Mason at our family home evening tonight....
