The Murphy Family

So, Mason and Logan both had appointments with our new family doctor today. We have been searching and trying them out and just haven't been a good fit with any. We finally found one that I think is going to be great. I called the office and the receptionist said, "We have four physicians, Dr. takes forever to see so which of the others do you want?" I said, "yeah, him, Dr. it is." So, we waited and it was worth it. It is amazing what really good social skills can do for a Dr. He was kind but let me know his opinions and views in a very, "we are on the same level" type way. He was very respectful of my decisions and very nicely helped me choose immunizations to give both kids. I understand why he is hard to see. Anyway, both kids are healthy and doing great. Logan is in the 97th percentile for height and weight and I am convinced the kids who are fatter than him belong to NFL players because, come on, he's ginormous. He is rolling over and wants to...

OOps! Life is crazy! I have 5 million things to blog. Guess what, I don't have time right now. This is good because it means I am busy and that exciting things are happening in life, but it also means that I am way behind and need to catch up because this is the only journal I have of my kiddos lives so far. So, here is what I managed to whip out in a very short time. I will fix it later but I just have to get a little caught up. Here are recent pics of my sweet, most happy, most lovable little boy. So, Mother’s day was great. Dan made me a necklace and sang me a Jack Johnson song with his guitar (no, they did not duet, he played the guitar and sang.) The lyrics of the song are so so perfect for mother’s day and I loved it so so so so much. I also loved the dancing and singing by Mason while dad performed. We finally had to tell him to zip it so that I could hear dad really sing it, and it was worth it. OH, how I love those boys. Mason came into my room in the morning and said, “Happy special day for your heart!” He said it so sweetly and with his little “I know I am the cutest thing ever” face. Then I got sweet hugs and kisses from all. It was a very simple day….I loved it! NO, no pics to share on this one either, I have been bad at pics lately. I have always taken for granted having my family within a few hours. Having a husband from Alaska has helped me stop that. We see Dan’s parents about once a year so we have to cram all we can into a few weeks. None of us are really busy bodies, we enjoy hanging out and chatting. So, although the pics aren’t filled with exciting things, we had a wonderful time with them. Hopefully they did too. I know they sure enjoyed their grandkids at least, so it wasn’t a total waste of two weeks. It took Mason about 30 seconds to warm up to them and he didn’t want to leave their sides. Sun up to sundown, he wanted to be with Nana and Papa. Dan and his dad spent the first evening at the Jazz game which I think they both really liked. Dan’s mom and Mason and Logan and me just hung out and then went to bed early, mmmm, that’s vacation to me. Dan’s Grandma had her 90th birthday party….oh how we partied!! The venue was the Golden Corral and the entertainment…..Me and Dan, YIKES! We sang a song that his grandma requested and it was worth all of the stress when, while we were singing, Grandma was quietly singing along. We love this couple so much and I am so grateful for them for being such a huge part of Dan’s life. They are the type of grandparents who were at every event…and the family had a lot of sporting events. They are close with all of their grandkids and work really hard at it. Some day I am going to learn from them and send birthday cards to my family…some day. Grandma Gillman is such a special lady who doesn’t like a lot of attention but sure as heck deserves it. Plus, she is a beauty still at 90. We love her so much!! Really, no one going to tell me that I am completely sideways, huh?
