The Murphy Family

So, my sister-in-law is due tomorrow with a sweet little baby boy. It has been a long road, so we are all really ready to meet Mr. baby boy. So, I thought if I just did a little post, maybe he would realize how much he is wanted here and just come. So, little baby, please come out now so that I can hold you and kiss your sweet little cheeks. I think your mom may want to hold you too. Maybe dad too. I can't bare to get one more call from your Dad just to invite us over instead of telling me that you are here. So, for all of our sakes, please come and be really nice to your mommy on the way out. So, I don't know what it is about Sunday morning, but Mason cannot get up. On a normal day he wakes up at 7ish usually and I pull him in bed with me and then we sleep more (but he would wake up then if I let him.) I think he just knows I will be boring if we wake up so he is willing to sleep some more. This is every single day, except Sunday. On Sunday he sleeps until we wake him up and then he is so so hard to wake up. I hope it isn't really already starting to be hard to get him up for church. I think he knows what he is in for. Here is this morning. Initial Wake-up (turns to his tummy to ignore me) Second try (goes into fetal position in the hopes I will see how tired he is and leave) Realizes I mean business and tries to open his eyes Does his big stretch and still can't open his eyes for many more minutes. Wakes up and starts jabbering about all the things he dreamed about. He always has the best stories...if only we could understand them.

No, Dan did not buy these for me, I bought them for myself. We had a great little weekend here at our house. It all started when I was at Cost-Co and saw the most awesome planter and flowers and could not resist. Dan and I get "mad money" each month to spend on whatever we want and this was so well worth every penny. I walk into the room and just get happy. So, I think Valentine's Day is more fun as a family lovefest. It is nice to get a little extra thought from hubby, but I like it more as a day to just tell everyone you love them and do fun things. Dan knows that so he came home from work early and had purchased stuff to make dinner. How cute is this, he made pink waffles, with strawberries, pink whipped cream, pink hash browns, pink milk, pink sugar cookies for the next day, with pink frosting of course. What a fun tradition that we will keep going, and my hubby came up with it, how cute. My brother and his wife came over and we decorated cookies that Mason and Dan cu...

So, I asked my great friend, Allie, to take a few pics of my fam because I want them so bad and it is impossible to get Dan to agree to family pics, especially when you have to pay alot for them...or even a little. So, Allie got a new camera and she always does good with stuff like that, so I thought we would get some great little snap shots that I would be happy enough with.Well, she shocked me a little. I wasn't expecting professional photos, but I'll take em. Thank you so much Allie! We love them so much and it was really nice to be at your house so that we could take breaks when the boy got restless....that Dan just can't sit still for very long. She even blew one up for me in a 12X18 and it is so so so beautiful. Thank you Thank you Thank you!! You are a woman of many talents! We will be getting copies out to you family, so you can finally have a pic of us where Mason actually looks like a slightly happy child and not Jabba the Hut in a bad mood.
