Kitchen/Living Room/Basement Bathroom Remodel

Disclaimer:  I want to remember all of this because I have found that my memory stinks.  You will probably think it's really boring and way TMI.  Just skip to the pics if you just want to see the end result. The people who lived in our house before us did some really awesome things that we probably would not have had the guts to do.  We live in a typical split entry home, but the reason we bought it is because they had knocked down the wall that makes a typical split entry kitchen so small and used half of a bedroom to make the kitchen larger and add a large pantry.  We loved the size of the kitchen and didn't hate the updates they had done to the kitchen.  They weren't really our taste but they weren't bad.  We knew eventually we would redo it but were totally fine with how it was.  The basement bathroom had been redone with all slate and it was really dark but not bad.  When we decided it was time to do the kitchen I kind of talked Dan into...

Master Bath/Hall Bath remodel

We bought our house in 2010. Over the last 3 years we have pretty much redone our entire house. It is a 1978 home and some of it was original and some had been redone, but it all needed a facelift and we wanted to make some of the spaces function better for our current situation.  There is one bedroom upstairs (master bedroom) with a small attached nursery and no master bath or closet.  We have a hall bathroom just outside of the master bedroom.  When we were looking for our home, Dan's criteria was that it needed a garage, a master bath and could not be split entry... enter this home that I absolutely loved and knew was our home...without a garage, master bath, and it was split entry.  It took some serious convincing, because not only did it not have all of those things, it was a little stretch for the budget as well.  But, after looking at tons of disgusting properties, we both agreed this was the only one that we could possible live in that was in our price r...
