This is for those of you (family) who are interested in what Mason is doing and saying these days. He is learning manners, so it is so fitting that he lets out a big burp just as I start the camera...he is all boy. He came out of the womb knowing that bodily function sounds are just funny. We aren't too into the baby signs thing but we did teach him a few (more, thank you, drink) mainly because it is amazing that these little kids can pick up on it so quickly... and it is freaking cute! So, here is lunch time with Mason. Okay, so I can't get the video to work but I will work on it. In the mean time...here are pics of Mason after the BYU v. U game on Tuesday. He loved it...well loved talking to the lady next to me (seriously, he just kept tapping her and then talking jibberish and pointing at the scoreboard. I think he was trying to tell her that although we were sitting in U season ticket seats, we really didn't care at all if they won. Good thing it is still jibberish or th...

Say Cheese!

So, we love to take pics around this place and it has become very obvious now that Mason is a little older. He definitely knows what the word SMILE means. Actually he knows it means two things: first and foremost, it is the little smiley face fruit snacks from Walmart that mom always eats half of (mainly so he doesn't choke and also because they are delicious); secondly, it means to squint your eyes, scrunch your nose, and show your teeth to the camera, so that mom will stop saying it and let you look at the pictures in the technology thingy with a little tv screen on it. It is nice because now we just say "smile" and we get a cute little cheesy grin. Dan, however, is not so cooperative with picture time. Every wife wants a cute kissy pic right? Dan will not allow it. Sometimes I seriously think he is cooperating and then I see the picture and he was sooo not cooperating. Anyway, here is what I deal with every time I try to take a pic with my hubby. Oh well, at least he i...

Our Weekend...and random stuff.

You may think that because of the title of this post that we did something crazy over the weekend...nope. I just love pictures and so I used the excuse of a weekend to put some up. Dan and Mason played some guitar, tickled each other, played with each other's feet and that was about it. And if you thought Mason looked like a hippy in the last pics, check these ones out. By the way, for those who don't know, we are moving to another place here. We are going to live in a couple's house while they go on a mission. I am excited because it is a full house, but a little sad because that means we are forced to rent for atleast another 18 months. It is good to force us to save for a down payment, but I want a house so I can paint and do fun stuff to it, but in time I guess. We feel really lucky that we found this house, so I just need to focus on that. Life is just dandy around here. Dan still loves his job and I still love mine....Mason. Mason is walking pretty well these days. He...

What's up with the Murphy's?

We have been really busy lately......with hanging out and playing....the good kind of busy. We had a wonderful holiday season full of lots of family, friends, food and fun (I call them the 4 F's...not really, but that is pretty neat that they all start with F)!!! Here are some illustrations. I always figure that pictures can tell the story so much better. We started the holidays off right with some core training. Mason is great on his ball....mom not as great on hers. Actually Mason just found his long lost ball in our closet and decided to sit on it while throwing laundry everywhere. Next, we picked up Aunt Natalie at the airport and we got lots of time with her. You know when aunt Nat is around that there will be plenty of smoochies. Most kids hate it.....Mason instigates it. He finally learned how to close his mouth and kiss....thanks Heavens for that. Then, Santa came to visit us and Grandma and Grandpa's and he brought Mason some pretty great stuff.....like boxes...
