The Murphy Family

I am married to a really good man.   I realize this.   But, you know what I love.   I love that I didn't marry as good of a man as I have now.   Don't get me wrong, Dan has always been great, but he just keeps getting better.   Our life just keeps getting better.   I don't say this to make anyone think our life is perfect or better than theirs, because that is not the case, but I say it as a way of thanking God and my religion for helping us become better people.   As we stay committed to each other, try to teach our kids, try to keep our marriage happy, try to become more spiritually attuned, try to provide for a family monetarily and emotionally, try to create a peaceful home, God blesses us for that.   He blesses us monetarily with unexpected increases in pay, he blesses us spiritually with a greater desire to serve each other and others, he blesses us with a greater desire to study the gospel, with love in our home and children wh...

Little Jolie was born on Cinqo De Mayo this year and we are absolutely in love with her.   She was 7lbs. 6 oz and 21 inches of pure sweetness.  The labor, on the other hand......  I started laboring on Friday the 3rd.  I knew it was just beginning labor, but when my contractions started to really be consistent and about 10 minutes apart for a few hours, I thought we were on our way.  Well, labor pretty much stopped in the morning.  It went to more like every 20 minutes, then 30, then tapered off.  When I did have a contraction, though, it rocked my world.  So, I was sure I would get further into labor the next night.  Things started heating up again but the contractions were so bad that I could not even handle the thought of transition after laboring this long.  My mind game (labor is such a mind game) sort of fell apart at that point.  My contractions were getting a little closer but I could not...

I am just going to post right this second and stop putting it off because I am so behind.   I haved loved this blog especially since I have been really bad about a journal lately … ..and for the past 10 years.   Dan has just started using an online journaling thing and he is doing awesome, and since I can’t let me hubby show me up on things that I have always been better about than him, I better get back to blogging.   My goal is to make my blog book of the last 5 years (yep you heard me, 5 years), for Christmas for our family.   I know my boys will absolutely love it and I will be so glad I did it.   So, that being said, I will try to post about the goings on of the last little while.  For the school year my neighbors and I did a co-op preschool.  The boys had fun and really loved having a guaranteed play date each week.  I love the neighbor kids and had a lot of fun with them.
