Still REnting

I just want to make sure everyone knows we are still renting, just a big house. That, however, does not make it any less exciting for us because we have room. We are staying in a couple's house while they go on a mission. After that, we are hoping to be able to buy a house....but who knows. Everyone keeps telling us that now is the time to buy and we need to get into a house. Well, my friends thank you for wanting us to get into a house, but it is only a good time to buy if we have a good down payment and a decent cushion each month so thatwe don't strap ourselves to something we can't afford when we get into a jam. Dan has a great job and it is very secure, but housing in utah has still not gone done, we are waiting until it hits rock bottom and then we will take advantage of some poor family that is in financial crisis. (just kidding, mostly). So, just thought I would clear that up, just in case you thought we bought a house, we did notbut we loooove it!!!!

I know the feeling! We want to buy a house so bad, but it's still going to be a bit because we want to be financially stable! Good for you for wanting that!

please email us your address and phone numbers...okay Dana's phone number, I have an 18 month old that periodically erases numbers, but the good news is that she also adds a few occasionally too!

Man. If I had a penny for everyone who told us we needed to buy while we were in San Diego...people put too much pressure on the buying a house thing.

Baby time!

So, I had my first appointment today to confirm that baby #2 is on its way. Sure enough, a quick little heartbeat was going strong. We can't wait, well, actually, I think we can. It will be much easier to wait for this one seeing that we have an 18 month old that keeps us very busy, but we are really excited for it to come around December 2nd ish. We are really excited for Mason to be a big brother because he is so sweet with babies these days and seems to actually enjoy them. I am 12 weeks and feeling pretty rotten. I guess that just helps me know that things are going okay with baby. Poor Mason has been watching alot of TV in the mornings and has not had as much play time with mom. It makes me sad, but you do what you gotta do to get by. Deep down i kind of want another boy, so I am pretty confident that it is a girl. Dan doesn't care at all, and I really don't either, but for some reason girls scare me. We are excited to see what we are going to get this time ...

Yes, it's true, we are having another boy. I always imagined having two little boys running around and we are so excited for Mason to have a little bro. There are so many fun things to look forward to with having little boys so close. Can't wait for all of the baseball games, basketball games, guitar and drum lessons.....or ballet lessons if they so choose. Whatever the case, we can't wait to have two little boys.

I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions for best gifts for a 2 year old boy. We don't buy toys very often so I always want them to be really good. What are the best toys out there. I am thinking a play kitchen? Play food? I just want to know if there is anything that Mason should not be going without. K- please help.
