Camping on a Dirt Bike Trail

So, we finally got some camping in this summer and we ended up right next to a mountain/dirt biking trail....the most popular trail in the area apparently. It was actually quite humorous because Doug and Marie spent all day looking for a site and finally found one...we quickly discovered why it was not taken. It was fun anyway. We all had a great time and it was just nice to have a change of scenery...even if the scenery was a bunch of sweaty people tearing through our campsite. Smores make everything better though. OH, and we got to use our new tent which can be set up in 1 minute. And, yes, it really does only take one minute, amazing!!

Logan thinks anything slanted is a slide and so, of course, he slid down this rocky dirt path head first......over and over. I thought once would be enough. Then he got the other kids doing it.

Love that you guys finally went camping. Not sure about the dirt bike trail though. Next time take them up to The Grove. Wishing you many more fun camping trips!

Baby time!

So, I had my first appointment today to confirm that baby #2 is on its way. Sure enough, a quick little heartbeat was going strong. We can't wait, well, actually, I think we can. It will be much easier to wait for this one seeing that we have an 18 month old that keeps us very busy, but we are really excited for it to come around December 2nd ish. We are really excited for Mason to be a big brother because he is so sweet with babies these days and seems to actually enjoy them. I am 12 weeks and feeling pretty rotten. I guess that just helps me know that things are going okay with baby. Poor Mason has been watching alot of TV in the mornings and has not had as much play time with mom. It makes me sad, but you do what you gotta do to get by. Deep down i kind of want another boy, so I am pretty confident that it is a girl. Dan doesn't care at all, and I really don't either, but for some reason girls scare me. We are excited to see what we are going to get this time ...

Yes, it's true, we are having another boy. I always imagined having two little boys running around and we are so excited for Mason to have a little bro. There are so many fun things to look forward to with having little boys so close. Can't wait for all of the baseball games, basketball games, guitar and drum lessons.....or ballet lessons if they so choose. Whatever the case, we can't wait to have two little boys.

I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions for best gifts for a 2 year old boy. We don't buy toys very often so I always want them to be really good. What are the best toys out there. I am thinking a play kitchen? Play food? I just want to know if there is anything that Mason should not be going without. K- please help.
