Summer is Heavenly!!

Well I finished up a fabulous year of preschool which will have its own post, but holy cow I am in Heaven. I LOVE not having anything going on. We can just do whatever the heck we want to whenever the heck we want to do it. Logan wasn't feeling well yesterday so we cuddled, read books and watched cartoons ALL DAY long. It was so great. Logan just wanted to lie down on me all day and we had about 30 new library books to choose from. We read every single one. I hope one of my children gets sick again very soon! Anyway, we haven't done too many exciting things this summer, but we have had alot of fun!! We went to a certain amusement park near us and had a great time. A few hours was just perfect for our little fam. The highlight of the trip....chasing birds while sucking down popsicles. We also had Dan's family here for the last few weeks. WE look forward to Dan's parents visiting all year. It was a great time. Dan and I even got away to Park City for a night....without kids. Not gonna lie, it was pretty much bliss. 24 hours of no diaper, no whining, no cooking, no cleaning....and no sweet little cheeks and kisses and "hode you"s. We were ready to see their sweet faces and "hode" them. The rest of the time....we have no evidence of. It was alot of just hanging out and we just didn't take pics. We did, however, get pictures of the low country boil we did at our house (really, Dana, only pics of the food). I will do the rest of the pics in its own post because blogger drives me nuts when there is text in the post.

Baby time!

So, I had my first appointment today to confirm that baby #2 is on its way. Sure enough, a quick little heartbeat was going strong. We can't wait, well, actually, I think we can. It will be much easier to wait for this one seeing that we have an 18 month old that keeps us very busy, but we are really excited for it to come around December 2nd ish. We are really excited for Mason to be a big brother because he is so sweet with babies these days and seems to actually enjoy them. I am 12 weeks and feeling pretty rotten. I guess that just helps me know that things are going okay with baby. Poor Mason has been watching alot of TV in the mornings and has not had as much play time with mom. It makes me sad, but you do what you gotta do to get by. Deep down i kind of want another boy, so I am pretty confident that it is a girl. Dan doesn't care at all, and I really don't either, but for some reason girls scare me. We are excited to see what we are going to get this time ...

Only Blue for us!

Yes, it's true, we are having another boy. I always imagined having two little boys running around and we are so excited for Mason to have a little bro. There are so many fun things to look forward to with having little boys so close. Can't wait for all of the baseball games, basketball games, guitar and drum lessons.....or ballet lessons if they so choose. Whatever the case, we can't wait to have two little boys.

Presents for Mason

I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions for best gifts for a 2 year old boy. We don't buy toys very often so I always want them to be really good. What are the best toys out there. I am thinking a play kitchen? Play food? I just want to know if there is anything that Mason should not be going without. K- please help.
