Isand Park 09

Island Park 09 was so so so great. I think Dan may have shed a tear as we were driving home. It was so nice and relaxing, and of course, there was delicious food everywhere. Last year was really hard with Mason just a baby and not sleeping through the night and stuff, but this year was just the opposite. We had full time babysitters that he couldn't get enough of, which only presented a problem one time when we thought he was with the cousins but really he somehow got outside and was sitting around the campfire with everyone. Yikes! He slept through the night and went to bed at a decent time and woke up happy (maybe a little earlier than the rest of the fam wanted, but oh well). He loved playing with the rocks and dirt and especially sticks. Anyway, he had so much fun and we got to relax and sit around with the fam, which is always a good time. We always stay at a sweet cabin so we actually end up living better than we do in our own homes. Dan and I were actually pretty lame and didn't really do much having to do with Island Park, but it is really hard to get me motivated to go out in sweltering heat and walk around when I am prego, so it ended up being more of just a nice cabin stay for us. I'll be honest, probably my favorite moments were when almost everyone went to W. Yellowstone and Dan, two of my sisters in law and I (along with some of the little ones) just hung out and played DS and colored and played with the kiddos. It was just so mellow and it really felt like a vacation. But, it is all over for this year....lots of great memories though.

Hey, I thought there was no fun had at the cabin,:). Those pics are so cute. I always love pictures of my nieces' and nephews' cuteness.

Baby time!

So, I had my first appointment today to confirm that baby #2 is on its way. Sure enough, a quick little heartbeat was going strong. We can't wait, well, actually, I think we can. It will be much easier to wait for this one seeing that we have an 18 month old that keeps us very busy, but we are really excited for it to come around December 2nd ish. We are really excited for Mason to be a big brother because he is so sweet with babies these days and seems to actually enjoy them. I am 12 weeks and feeling pretty rotten. I guess that just helps me know that things are going okay with baby. Poor Mason has been watching alot of TV in the mornings and has not had as much play time with mom. It makes me sad, but you do what you gotta do to get by. Deep down i kind of want another boy, so I am pretty confident that it is a girl. Dan doesn't care at all, and I really don't either, but for some reason girls scare me. We are excited to see what we are going to get this time ...

Yes, it's true, we are having another boy. I always imagined having two little boys running around and we are so excited for Mason to have a little bro. There are so many fun things to look forward to with having little boys so close. Can't wait for all of the baseball games, basketball games, guitar and drum lessons.....or ballet lessons if they so choose. Whatever the case, we can't wait to have two little boys.

Presents for Mason

I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions for best gifts for a 2 year old boy. We don't buy toys very often so I always want them to be really good. What are the best toys out there. I am thinking a play kitchen? Play food? I just want to know if there is anything that Mason should not be going without. K- please help.
