Aunt Nat is HERE!!

Well, my sister has moved here and is working and life is good! It is so nice to have her close. We haven't lived close in 4 years and now we are 12 minutes away from each other. She has been so so so awesome in helping with Mason when we need it. It is so weird to have family so close that we can hang out every day if we want. On a regular basis we can just go to dinner with my bro and his wife or with Natalie. I am so glad we ended up in Utah even though we really didn't want to (sorry Utah, we do love you, just wanted some time away). It is so nice to be a part of Natalie's everyday life, I have missed it alot. We get to be the first to hear about the cute boys in her ward and her crazy blind date stories. We also get to be close enough to crack down on her clothing and purse purchases. She has been doing quite well I think. I think it might be because she knows she has to report her expenses to Dan so he can put them into her expense sheet :) Anyway, Aunt Natalie, thank you for watching Mason and changing a poopy diaper yesterday and for watching movies with us and for just being cool and nice and for moving here so we can see you more. We love you lots and are so happy you are here with us.

oh sweetie. thanks so much! wow i cannot believe i missed three whole blog posts! this is unprecedented. and im sooo glad to be here to and i adore every single second of time with you all!! pee, poo and all. i think ill just start bringing spare clothes when i come from now on. and perhaps an ice cream bib, cuz lets be honest, the kiddos arent the only ones messing up my clothes.

Baby time!

So, I had my first appointment today to confirm that baby #2 is on its way. Sure enough, a quick little heartbeat was going strong. We can't wait, well, actually, I think we can. It will be much easier to wait for this one seeing that we have an 18 month old that keeps us very busy, but we are really excited for it to come around December 2nd ish. We are really excited for Mason to be a big brother because he is so sweet with babies these days and seems to actually enjoy them. I am 12 weeks and feeling pretty rotten. I guess that just helps me know that things are going okay with baby. Poor Mason has been watching alot of TV in the mornings and has not had as much play time with mom. It makes me sad, but you do what you gotta do to get by. Deep down i kind of want another boy, so I am pretty confident that it is a girl. Dan doesn't care at all, and I really don't either, but for some reason girls scare me. We are excited to see what we are going to get this time ...

Yes, it's true, we are having another boy. I always imagined having two little boys running around and we are so excited for Mason to have a little bro. There are so many fun things to look forward to with having little boys so close. Can't wait for all of the baseball games, basketball games, guitar and drum lessons.....or ballet lessons if they so choose. Whatever the case, we can't wait to have two little boys.

I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions for best gifts for a 2 year old boy. We don't buy toys very often so I always want them to be really good. What are the best toys out there. I am thinking a play kitchen? Play food? I just want to know if there is anything that Mason should not be going without. K- please help.
